01 / Current prototype
What happens on this website today
This NORTHWIND website is a design prototype. WooCommerce provides account, cart and order infrastructure. Sample products are not available for purchase; payment and delivery services have not been configured.
When you submit a contact request, your details are saved in the WordPress administration area. Attachments are stored with restricted web access. Only authorized site staff can review submissions.
The site may still be served by a hosting platform that processes ordinary technical request information needed to deliver web pages, such as an IP address, browser details, requested URL and request time. The final operator must verify and document the hosting setup before public launch.
02 / Information
Information a live site may handle
If the website is connected to real enquiry, ordering or account services, it may handle the following categories. The production notice must be updated to match the systems that are actually enabled.
- Contact details
- Name, email address, company and the content of a message.
- Project details
- Country, building use, dimensions, fan quantity, project timing, layouts and photographs supplied with an enquiry.
- Support information
- Product model, serial or order reference, issue description and related documents or images.
- Technical information
- Browser, device, approximate location, IP address, page requests and security or diagnostic records.
- Commerce information
- Delivery, billing and transaction details if purchasing is introduced. Payment card data should be handled by the named payment provider rather than stored directly by this website.
03 / How it may be used
Purposes must stay specific
A production website should use personal information only for stated purposes and on an appropriate legal basis. Depending on the service and location, those purposes may include:
- responding to product, project and support enquiries;
- preparing quotations and coordinating delivery or installation information;
- processing and supporting orders when commerce is enabled;
- protecting the website, diagnosing faults and preventing misuse;
- meeting record-keeping and legal obligations; and
- sending marketing only where the recipient has made the required choice or another valid basis applies.
Before launch, the operator should identify the legal basis used for each purpose and explain any required consent or legitimate-interest assessment.
05 / Your choices
Questions and privacy requests
Depending on where a person lives, privacy law may provide rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent. Some rights have conditions or exceptions.
Until a production privacy contact and verification process are established, use the Contact page for questions about this draft. Do not submit sensitive personal information through the prototype.

What this draft still needs
This page is suitable for reviewing the website structure, but it is not a final legal policy. Before the site accepts real enquiries or orders, the operator should replace or complete it with:
- 01Business identity
The legal entity name, address, privacy contact and any required representative or data-protection officer.
- 02Actual systems
The hosting, analytics, enquiry, ecommerce, payment, email and support providers that are truly used.
- 03Regional requirements
Applicable legal bases, rights, transfer safeguards, children’s privacy rules and regulator details.
- 04Cookie controls
A verified cookie list and consent mechanism if non-essential storage, advertising or analytics is introduced.
- 05Professional review
Legal review for the countries in which the business operates or actively sells.
