01 / Before you choose
Start with the space.
Floor area is only the beginning. A useful comparison brings the building, its occupants and the fan’s requirements together.

Note the floor dimensions, ceiling height and how the space is used. Mark racks, beams, partitions and other obstacles on a layout.
Compare the complete configuration
Review diameter, mounting requirements, electrical supply and controls together. Check that performance figures use comparable test conditions.
Review the layout
Consider quantity and placement together. An open floor and a room divided by tall racks can need different arrangements, even at the same floor area.
02 / Before installation
Prepare the site. Confirm the details.
Use the instructions for the exact model and mounting configuration. Structural and electrical work should be planned with qualified local installers.
Identify the model and mounting kit
Match the product reference, supplied components and installation documents. Confirm the requirements before scheduling the work.
Check structure and clearances
Have the mounting structure assessed. Review blade clearance, sprinklers, lighting, crane routes and any other overhead services against the model instructions and local requirements.
Plan power, controls and access
Confirm the electrical supply and control location with the installer. Allow suitable access equipment and space for assembly, inspection and future servicing.
Keep the handover information
Retain the model and serial details, installation records and operating instructions. Ask the installer to explain the controls and the required inspection routine.

Make care part of the routine.
Follow the maintenance schedule and methods in the model’s instructions. Site conditions and operating hours can affect the attention a fan needs.
Inspect on the specified schedule
Arrange the checks specified for the mounting system, connections and fan assembly. Keep a dated record of inspections and any work completed.
Clean using the approved method
Stop the fan and isolate its power before cleaning or servicing. Follow the instructions for safe access, cleaning products and protection of electrical components.
Record changes in operation
If unusual noise, vibration or damage appears, stop using the fan and seek qualified support. Share the model, the symptoms and when they began; avoid adjusting parts while the fan is running.
